Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Privacy Statement

Science for Humanity Press (SHP) is committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of authors, reviewers, editors, readers, and other users of its journals and publishing platforms.

This Privacy Statement explains how Science for Humanity Press collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information provided through its journal websites and online submission and publishing systems.

Information We Collect

Science for Humanity Press may collect personal information that users voluntarily provide when registering an account, submitting a manuscript, participating in peer review, communicating with the editorial office, or using other services provided through our journal platforms.

Use of Personal Information in Published Articles

Information that is part of the scholarly record may be published when necessary for academic and bibliographic purposes. This may include author names, institutional affiliations, ORCID identifiers, acknowledgements, funding information, and conflict-of-interest disclosures.

Information that is not intended to form part of the public scholarly record will not be publicly disclosed unless disclosure is necessary for legitimate editorial, legal, or administrative purposes.

Peer Review Confidentiality

Information obtained during the peer-review process will be treated confidentially. Reviewer identities and confidential reviewer comments will not be disclosed to authors or third parties except where disclosure is required by the journal's review policy, applicable law, or an authorized publishing procedure.

Reviewers are expected to maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts and information accessed through the review process.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

Science for Humanity Press does not sell or rent users' personal information to third parties.

Personal information may be shared with trusted service providers when necessary to operate the journal and publishing platform, such as hosting providers, manuscript management systems, digital preservation services, DOI and indexing services, payment processors, or other essential publishing infrastructure.

Such disclosure will be limited to information reasonably necessary to provide the relevant service or fulfill a legitimate publishing function.

Personal information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law, legal proceedings, regulatory authorities, or to protect the rights, safety, security, and integrity of Science for Humanity Press, its users, or its publishing systems.

The SHP journal platform may use cookies and similar technical technologies to support essential website functions, authentication, session management, security, and user preferences.

However, no internet-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should therefore take appropriate measures to protect their account credentials and should not share passwords or other authentication information with unauthorized persons.

Data Retention

Personal information will be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including maintaining editorial records, publication records, peer-review records, account information, and other legitimate academic or administrative records.

Certain information associated with published scholarly work may need to be retained permanently as part of the academic record and for long-term preservation of the scholarly literature.

Subject to applicable laws and legitimate publishing requirements, users may have rights to:

Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
Request deletion of personal information where appropriate
Request restriction of certain processing activities
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

Requests concerning personal information may be submitted to the Science for Humanity Press editorial or administrative office.

Some requests may be subject to limitations where the information must be retained to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record, fulfill legal obligations, maintain publication records, or protect the rights of other users.

The SHP platform may integrate with third-party services that support scholarly publishing, including DOI registration, researcher identification, indexing, digital preservation, payment processing, analytics, email delivery, hosting, and other technical services.

When such services are used, the relevant third parties may process limited information in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable legal requirements.

Children's Privacy

The journal platform is intended primarily for researchers, academics, professionals, and other users involved in scholarly communication. Science for Humanity Press does not knowingly collect personal information from children for purposes unrelated to the operation of its academic publishing services.
